Multimodal inductive reasoning is the combination of multiple learning paradigms in a single system. This article describes RISE, a combination of rule induction and case-based (or instance-based) learning, and uses experiments with synthetic datasets to investigate what is gained by the multimodai approach relative to the individual ones.
