The Chiara: A New Platform for Robotic Manipulation

The Chiara, a new hexapod robot with an arm and a webcam, is designed for introducing computer science undergraduates to robotics, and is also suitable for graduate-level AI research. We describe the design philosophy behind this robot and the technical details of its implementation.
