Stanford Engineering AI Online Course
Online Student Membership Offer
The Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence AAAI) — the world's largest scientific society of AI researchers, practitioners, and students — will honor those students who complete the online "Introduction to Artificial Intelligence" course, taught by Sebastian Thrun and Peter Norvig (http://www.ai-class.com), with a performance in the top 10 percent of the class, with one year of free membership in the society.
This offer includes a one-year AAAI online trial student membership, which includes access to AAAI's digital library, receipt of AAAI announcements and newsletters, and discounts at AAAI's conferences and symposia. It does not include receipt of the hard coy of the AI Magazine or voting privileges in the society. The successful completion of the AI course will constitute student status for this offer, so no further proof is required.
This offer is limited to first-time members of AAAI, and is not valid for renewing or lapsed members of the society. The opportunity to renew or convert the online student membership to a full AAAI membership is available to qualifying students in the Stanford Engineering AI Online Course.
Currently, nearly 4,000 members throughout the world benefit from the AAAI efforts to advance research in the area. Major AAAI activities include organizing and sponsoring conferences, symposia and workshops; publishing a quarterly magazine for all members; publishing a series of books, proceedings, and technical reports; compiling a host of online resources and publications; and awarding grants and scholarships.
