Dear AAAI Members,

The AAAI-10 Conference Committee is pleased to announce the continuation of both the Student Abstract and Poster Program and the AAAI/SIGART Doctoral Consortium in 2010.

**AAAI-10 Student Abstract sand Posters **
AAAI invites submissions to the AAAI-10 Student Abstract and Poster program. The goal of this program is to provide a forum in which students can present and discuss their work during its early stages, meet some of their peers who have related interests, and introduce themselves to more senior members of the field. The program is open to all pre-Ph.D students. Abstracts will be published in the AAAI-10 proceedings and will be presented during the conference-wide poster session on Wednesday, July 14.

Submissions are due Wednesday, January 27, 2010. Prospective authors are required to register at the AAAI-10 Student Abstract submission site, which will be available December 1. For further information about paper formatting and submission requirements, please review the Call for Abstracts at http://www.aaai.org/Conferences/AAAI/2010/aaai10studentcall.

**Fifteenth AAAI/SIGART Doctoral Consortium**
AAAI and ACM/SIGART invite students to apply for the Fifteenth AAAI/SIGART Doctoral Consortium, which will be held July 11-12, 2010 at AAAI-10. The Doctoral Consortium (DC) provides an opportunity for a group of Ph.D. students to discuss and explore their research interests and career objectives with a panel of established researchers in artificial intelligence. The consortium has the following objectives: (1) to provide a setting for mutual feedback on participants' current research and guidance on future research directions; (2) develop a supportive community of scholars and a spirit of collaborative research; (3) support a new generation of researchers with information and advice on academic, research, industrial, and non-traditional career paths; and (4) contribute to the conference goals through interaction with other researchers and participation in conference events.

Applications are due Friday, February 5, 2010. Prospective participants are required to submit the following materials at the Doctoral Consortium submission site: thesis summary, Curriculum Vita, letter of recommendation, and participant's expectations. The submission site will be available in December 2010. For complete information about application requirements, please review the Call for Applications at http://www.aaai.org/Conferences/AAAI/2010/aaai10dccall.pdf.

Be sure to visit the AAAI-10 website for the latest information about these and other new and ongoing programs.

We look forward to seeing you in Atlanta!

Regards,

Carol Hamilton
Executive Director, AAAI
